Causes and Remedies of Dysentery

There are different causes of dysentery. Such as bacterial infection, viral infection, infestation of parasitic worms, infestation of protozoa, inflammation of the rectum, chemical irritants, taking of insufficient foods, taking of improper diet, over eating habit, liquor, excessive drink of coffee or tea, drinking impure water, if the surrounding is not hygienic, taking vegetable or fruits are not fresh, eating foods which are not properly  refrigerated.

Remedies:

  • A patient who suffers dysentery can take potassium broth, oatmeal milk, soybean milk, barley water.
  • Try to chew the whole food before swallowing.
  • Consult a physician for proper diagnosis.
